Reached Abidjan

We started from Dhaka on 10th June 2007. It was on a heavy downpour day all day. The airport formalities were done on a breeze! There were as many as 265 people on board aircraft, a Thai Oriental craft. There crew were a little less professional than the European types. We halted at Djibouti, a deserted country just west of Yemen. Then we started another 6 hour journey toward Yamoussoukro, the political capital of Cote d'Ivoire. The town is a sleepy town with wide roads and serene atmosphere. Lots of trees and flora and fauna abound. It looked a bit like Dhaka baridhara to me for some time. Except for the crocodiles which were basking on the ramp in the moat surrounding the presidential palace. In Yamoussoukro, there a big cathedral, I heard it's second largest after the Vatican.
The Jet lag really caught me in. I was feeling very tired and shaken with slight fever, toothache and the lag.
